Report :
Department of Political Science organized a“Short Term Certificate Course”by hybrid mode on the topic “Leadership Of Skill Development” to guide the students on leadership skill to expand the capacity of students to perform in leadership roles within various aspects and to become effective leaders. It also involves inspiring students to achieve shared goals and expand their potential this will help to lead and building of new skill and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs and future employment.
The Inauguration ceremony held on 16th October 2023 in hall no 10 of Dhanwate NationalCollege, NagpurThe Honourable principal Dr. O.S.Deshmukh and Chief guestDr. Bharti Khapekar Vice principal of the College, Dr. kulbhushan Meghe co-ordinator of IQAC and Department in-charge Dr. Gajanan Uprikar were present.
I have formally welcomed the dignitaries and students then emphasized importance of the course and also addressed brief history of leadership in India.likewise I have elaborately explanted connection between leadership qualities of 21th century and digital age. I alsonarrated the active role of leadership qualities every field of life.
This short term course was of 30 hours. The inaugural speech was given by the honourable principal Dr. O.S. Deshamukh .He mentioned about the significance of skill development and leadership and how they are interconnected from long time by throwing light on leadership qualities and its Impact, He elaborately discussed the importance of leadership and skill development, the process involved in leadership and skill development . He motivated everyone to actively participate in the workshop and exploit its full benefits. The Honourable Vice-Principal Dr. Bharti khapekar madam mentioned the role of many ancient ruler likeShivaji Maharaj ,Gandhiji, Neharuji etc. .All the permanent faculties were invited as resource persons. The Resource persons has given full justice to this topic. All the sessionswere followed by Question- Answer Session by participants.
The proceedings of the Session was conducted by Mr. Gulshan Lohi, Assistant professor of the Department . In the endMansi Moon offered a vote of thanks.She thanked all the invited guests and participants for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence .She also thanked college principal for providing all kind of facilities in college.
The Session was attended by more than 190 participants approximately comprising of the students of the Arts ,Commerce ,Management Courses and maximum faculty members were present ,The feedback was also taken from the students .
Objectives :
This course provides basic of advanced concepts along with necessary teaching practices . This course will help to cope more effectively the changes of day to day life . By the end of the 15 days leadership training programme , participates will get following objectives.
1) They got insight in different style of communication
2) It is enhanced their strategic thinking and plans to create future plan.
3)They can enhance their personal focus and style of leadership to create better outcomes.
4) They utilised techniques, that can create higher engagement and performance levels.
5) They got self -motivation and self - confidence
6) It is strengthening leadership, talentmanagement and organisational capabilities and the participants.
7) It is increase understanding in development ,designing interventions for social impact and fostering leadership.
Course outcomes it will be helpful in :
1) Defining modern virtual leadership
2) In discussing the various activities of modern leaders.
3) To describe how clarity, consistency, and communication affect the leadership.
4) Explaining why presentation skills are important for leaders to master modern age politics.
5) Explaining how leaders can drive innovation by encouraging creativity.
